CLASS HISTORY

Class 68-06 began one year of rigorous training on 23 March 1967, in pursuit of the coveted Silver Wings of an Air Force pilot. In attaining this goal, they have attended 299 hours of classroom instruction on 17 academic subjects ranging from Applied Aerodynamics to the study of Weather Phenomena. They flew a total of more than 10,320 hours in the T-41, T-37 and T-38 aircraft and spent 2,365 hours in the Flight Simulator. The class attended 125 hours of Physical Training and 50 hours of other officer development training. Class 68-06 includes nine Regular Air Force officers, and thirty-four Air Force Reserve officers . These graduates will pilot a variety of aircraft in many different parts of the world and take their place among those airmen who have given them this heritage.
